MASSAGE EFFECT ON PSYCHOEMOTIONAL STATE AND BLOOD GLUCOSE IN TYPE 1 DIABETES ADOLESCENTS

In 2021, there were approximately 1.5 million people under age 20 with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) worldwide. Massage affects both physiological processes and also improves the psycho-emotional state. There have been studies on effects of massage blood glucose levels, but topic is under-researched. The purpose study: to find out effect classical state level (BGL) in adolescents T1D. Fifteen aged 12 16, diagnosed T1D for at least six months, participated study. During study, teenagers given five classic back massages (once a week, 30 minutes). BGL was measured glucometer before after each massage. Participants completed Positive Negative Affect Schedule Depression Anxiety Stress Scales beginning end all sessions. Oscillometric method used determine heart rate. study results show that positively emotional states overall reduced as well Although differences are not statistically significant, large due sample size, change direction clinically relevant. When evaluating results, it necessary consider adolescents' specific age.
